Reminder of Boarding with Negative Nucleic Acid Test Certificate for COVID-19 for In-transit Passengers to China

I. According to the joint announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China dated 20 July 2020 (link http://www.caac.gov.cn/en/XWZX/202007/t20200721_203702.html), the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Barbados is evaluating boarding measures with negative nucleic acid test certificate for COVID-19 for foreign passengers traveling from Barbados to China. Specific implementation measures will be announced later on the Embassy's website.

II. Starting from 27 July 2020, China-bound foreign passengers departing from Barbados and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by transferring via certain countries (updated in the link https://hr.cs.mfa.gov.cn/help_two/help-two/gj.html) must apply for Health Declaration Forms after receiving COVID-19 negative certificates. All Airlines of the above-mentioned countries will check the Health Declaration Forms of relevant passengers during check-in or before boarding.

i. Testing Time and Institutions

The nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 must be taken within five days before final connecting flight to China. Currently no institutions in Barbados or Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are designated by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Barbados for test. Please consult with health department in Barbados or Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for appointment and test.

ii. Application for Health Declaration Forms

Foreign passengers must send their scanned copies (Photos are NOT accepted) of passport, COVID-19 negative certificates and signed Health Declaration Form (see attachment) to the email address consulate_brb@mfa.gov.cn with the title "Nationality + Full Name + Transfering Countries + City of Entry in China". The Embassy will send back a scanned copy of Health Declaration Form with an official stamp to the passengers by email. All passengers are required to board with printed Health Declaration Forms within the validity period and cooperate with airlines for further checking.

III. Other reminders

i. Foreign passengers to China are required to carefully read the notice. Those who can't duly receive COVID-19 negative certificates and obtain valid Health Declaration Forms won't be allowed to board and have to adjust their itineraries.

ii. Foreign passengers ultimately bound for China should make sure that the Forms are within the validity period when boarding the connecting flights to avoid stranded results.
