Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year from Chinese Embassy in Barbados

        On December 17, 2006, at the invitation of the Hon. Hamilton Lashley, MP and Government's Advisor on Poverty Alleviation and Millennium Development Goals, Ms. Dai Xiaonan, wife of the Chinese Ambassador to Barbados, joined the Christmas celebration with local people at Hasting Rocks. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy, Ms. Dai conveyed hearty seasonal greetings to the Bajan people. She also brought with her stuffed animals, kites, stationary, DVDs and Chinese snacks for the children, and wished them a happy and lucky 2007.

        Ms. Dai was warmly received by Mr. Lashley and Mr. David Joey Harper, CEO of the Barbados Labor Party. Echoing her sincere greetings, Mr. Lashley thanked the Embassy for this social involvement of bringing better life and hope to the underprivileged people on behalf of the Barbados Government and took the occasion as another demonstration of friendship between the two peoples. He also expressed his wishes that the Embassy would pass on the Bajan greetings to the people in China.
