On July 4th,2019, H.E. Yan Xiusheng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Barbados met with Mr. Hickering, President of Lenstec, Barbados, Dr. Benskin, Director of Ophthalmology of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Barbados, and Ms. Qu Ying, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy also attended the meeting.

The two sides exchanged in-depth views on economic and trade，medical and health cooperation between China and Barbados. Lenstec is the manufacturer of intraocular lenses which is the largest exporter from Barbados to China.
